Beginning in 1979, Karen Fields was the leader of Kehila's retreat. Until her untimely death in 2007, Karen oversaw every detail of housing 100 plus people in appropriate cabins in a summer camp site every spring, feeding them, and enriching and entertaining them. It has taken a committee to replace her. The Karen Fields Memorial Retreat continues to be the annual opportunity to bring the community together in fellowship, study, and fun during a Shabbat weekend in West Virginia.
